Uncommon Ceremonies

Celebrate your love for family

Celebrate your love for family and friends with a personalized ceremony to honor life’s transitions, mark important milestones, connect to one another and give greater meaning to life.

In today’s busy world it can be especially rewarding to take a break and focus on important moments. As a Certified Life Cycle Celebrant, I help families create or re-envision rituals and traditions that do just that.

Healing, sustenance and support

Life presents many challenges and changes. Too often, we’re encouraged to “move on” rather than to acknowledge fear, confusion and uncertainty.

Simple or elaborate, healing ceremonies provide comfort and strength when we face difficult or demanding times. They offer validation as we step into the unknown that awaits on the other side of change. Whether private or with community, they help to release beliefs that no longer serve us, and call forth courage and even excitement to greet a new chapter in life.

End of Life and Loss

A meaningful farewell ceremony is an opportunity to honor and celebrate the life of a loved one who has passed, and to recognize their impact on our lives. It helps us acknowledge the reality of the loss, comforts and supports us in our grief, and offers hope that we can keep some part of our loved one’s essence in our hearts. Recommit to our own lives, with memories, inspiration and empowerment.

Whether simple or elaborate, unconventional or formal, in a location of your choice, end of life services serve very real and important human needs.

I will spend as much time as it takes to learn about your loved one in unhurried meetings with designated family and friends. I will carefully craft a ceremony that weaves in music, quotes, readings, symbols and rituals of your choosing. And I will officiate the ceremony with love and respect.

An end of life ceremony can be a valuable source of healing. Nothing can take away the grief, but a genuine, well prepared tribute will help to ease the pain.
